LINCOLN – Kevin Allen McGaw “Kidd,” 47, went home to be with his Lord Dec. 13, 2012, at a Lincoln hospital after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born Sept. 11, 1965, in Lincoln, the son of Robert A. and Eva (Kennedy) McGaw.
Kevin was an ironworker for many years. He developed many friendships all over the country and he cherished those friends more than anything else.
In addition to his mother, Eva, he is survived by two sisters, Karen Bennett and her husband, Dean, of Bradley and Marie McGaw of Lincoln; a special friend and godmother, Ann Smith and her husband, Terry, of Mattawamkeag; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind many friends. In addition to his father, Bob, he was predeceased by a sister, Teresa McGaw.
There will be a graveside service in the spring at Lincoln Cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at Parish Hall of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church.
