BANGOR, Maine — Bangor Hydro crews believe equipment failure was the cause of an outage that affected more than 2,000 customers in Bangor, Orono, Old Town and surrounding towns Saturday afternoon. All power was restored as of 4:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the company’s website.
Customers are reminded to stay clear of any fallen power lines and to use generators and alternate heat sources in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Customers can report outages by calling 800-440-1111. Outages also can be reported at bangorhydro.com or on the company’s mobile site at bhe.com/m.
