KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine — Police are searching for two men reported missing late last week.
Zachary Wells, 21, of Vermont, and Prescott Wright, 23, of Massachusetts, were last seen socializing with friends at 5 Mills Road at about midnight Thursday, Dec. 20, according to a statement released Saturday by the Kennebunkport Police Department.
A dispatcher at the Kennebunkport Police Department said the status of the case was unchanged Sunday evening.
Police believe the two men left the residence together on foot and may have been intoxicated, according to the statement.
The Landing Boat School in Arundel, where the two men attend classes, reported the two missing to police as they did not attend classes Thursday or Friday.
The Coast Guard and Marine Patrol are assisting Kennebunkport police in searching for the two men.
“We currently have not had facts to support the men going into the water at this time,” Kennebunkport Police Chief Craig Sanford said in the statement. “Because of the residence being in close proximity to the water, we felt it prudent to ask for the search of that area.”
Sanford said Wells and Wright were expected to head to their home states for the holidays.
“Family members are very concerned for their safety,” he said.
Zachary Wells is a 5-foot-8-inch white male with black hair, hazel eyes and weighs about 150 pounds. He has a surgical scar on his neck. He had been living in Kennebunk.
Prescott Wright is a 6-foot-4-inch white male with brown hair, blue eyes and weighs about 200 pounds. He had been living at 5 Mills Road.
Anyone with information is asked to all the Kennebunkport Police Department at 967-2454.

Little too much of something to eat, drink or inhale. This is a guess on my part, not an accusation.
Show some respect for the poor families of these young men. What if it was your son missing? Only morons would make such a statement.
Hopefully they are found safe.
Some of the comments you people make are incredible. There are 2 people missing and all you can do is make ignorant remarks.
SelfResponsibility, this is another reason why there should be no comments at all! BDN should shut it down completely.
The Landing School is a pretty tight community. It’s obviously tough on their families, especially at this time of year, but I’m sure it’s pretty unsettling for their classmates as well. Hope they turn up safe and sound.
Tacky.
At best.
ah since thursday….its cold out I dont know…not looking good =/
Were they driving, if so, what type of auto, there seems to be something missing to the story, like who was at the house when they left, anyway, you can always count on BDN for terrible reporting.
The article says they left on foot
I hope these two are OK. My prayers are with them and their families. We already lost two men in a fire in Orono this weekend and with the tragedy in CT recently, we certainly don’t need more tragedy to happen at this time. Be careful out there and take care of each other.
It’s not good, strange…
house fires and deaths
auto and truck crashes and deaths
domestic abuse and deaths
missing people after drinking
–All started with a sip of alcohol
