ELLSWORTH, Maine — A 20-year-old Hancock man will spend nine months behind bars after exposing himself to two minor boys and asking them to perform sexual acts while he was baby-sitting.
Joseph Torrey pleaded guilty to two counts of visual sexual aggression in Hancock County Superior Court on Friday, Dec. 21. As part of a plea agreement, Torrey was sentenced to three years imprisonment with all but nine months suspended and six years of probation.
According to an affidavit filed by Hancock County District Attorney’s Detective Stephen McFarland, Torrey in November told police he took out his penis and showed it to two brothers while baby-sitting the children in September at a home in Hancock.
According the affidavit, Torrey also admitted to asking the children to perform a sexual act on him, and to watching pornography with the children in the room. The two boys told police that Torrey had offered them $50 to perform the sex acts, but Torrey denied this.
Torrey was arrested on Dec. 5, after a DA investigation. After his nine-month sentence ends, he will be subject to a laundry list of probation conditions including: submission to random searches for sexually oriented material; sex-offender evaluation and treatment; no contact with children under 16 years old, others on probation or parole, or his victims or their family; and no viewing or possession of pornography, or use of the Internet. He also must live where directed by his probation officer.

B.D.N. did a story a couple months back about prison rape. I couldn’t believe how many posters were against it. Saying they weren’t in prison to be punished, being in prison was punishment enough. Now Bubba is very confused. Is Buuba supposed to teach these sicko’s a lesson, or is he supposed to hold hands and sing kum-by-ya with them? You can’t have it both ways.
Bubba should just go with his emotions in this case. It’s just not healthy for Bubba to bottle it up.

Losing a leg is a trauma, a babysitter wagging his weener with be a big laugh to them is six months — if people like you stop telling them they’re poor victims. I know people (adults now) who had a babysitter ask them to touch him on the pee-pee. They didn’t and they didn’t give it a second thought after a few weeks apparently. They aren’t messed up, they said the guy was a weirdo and that was about it.
Pedophilia is bad, absolutely. Different levels of grossness cause different levels of stress. If you are going to champion a cause, at least try and be slightly realistic about it.
