GREENVILLE – Daisy A. Lowe, 84, died Dec. 26, 2012, at C.A. Dean Hospital, Greenville, after a long battle with lung disease. She was born June 25, 1928, in Alton, the daughter of Jesse and Mary (Delaney) Judkins.
At a young age Daisy worked for Spinney’s Camps on Moosehead Lake. She later dispatched for Greenville Fire Department for more than 27 years, and was one of the last dispatchers in the area to still be on duty, even after the new 911 came into effect. She was a ham radio operator for many years, meeting new friends from many different areas. During her life she enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, knitting, reading and other activities.
She is survived by a nephew, Michael Judkins and his wife, Deborah, of Alton; a daughter-in-law, Lois Lowe of Greenville; and special friends, Wayne and Linda Carpenter. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Lowe; her parents; a sister, Madeline Dority; a brother, Harold Judkins; and a son, Richard Lowe.
