OXFORD, Maine — An Oxford woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday after an early morning car crash on Fore Street in Oxford.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said Kirsten Kinder, 22, was driving a 1997 Pontiac Sunfire at around 2 a.m. when it went off the road and hit a couple of trees, Oxford police officer Jeremy Coron.

Kinder was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway with neck and back pain. Her boyfriend, passenger James Grovo, 30, of Oxford, sustained minor injuries but did not need to be taken to the hospital, Coron said.

The car was demolished.

The crash is still under investigation, but police believe speed was likely a factor, Coron said.

do so well on Maine roads after midnite?
    Why is that ??

    1. Don’t suppose it has anything to do with young drivers owning these vehicles, do you? You know, those that text and talk on cell phones non-stop !!
