WATERBORO, Maine — A domestic complaint led police to arrest a Waterboro man who had multiple warrants out of Florida on Saturday.

York County sheriff’s deputies were sent to a disturbance involving Michael Bowers, 49, who identified himself with a Florida driver’s license, according to York County Maj. William King.

A routine warrants check revealed that Bowers was indeed wanted on multiple charges out of Broward County, Fla., according to King.

The charges include seven counts of dealing in stolen property and seven counts of false ownership.

Bowers was taken to the York County Jail, where bail was set at $31,500, King said. No domestic charges were placed on Bowers, where extradition proceedings are being reviewed.
