ORONO – Barbara L. Turner, 73, wife of the late Harold Turner, died Jan. 9, 2013, at Orono Commons, Orono. She was born Sept. 5, 1939, in LaGrange, daughter of William and Amy Adelaide (Mott) Long.
Barbara had worked as a stitcher at Dexter Shoe Co. and as a certified residential medication aide at Cummings Health Care, Howland, for many years. She will be remembered as an incredibly hard worker and will be missed by all.
She is survived by three sons, Jeffrey Turner and wife, Su-zanne, of Massachusetts, Paul Turner and wife, Shirley, of Patten and Timothy Turner and wife, Laurie, of LaGrange; three sisters, Phyllis Randall and husband, Malcolm, of Bradford, Loretta Reed of New Hampshire and Kathy Herbest and husband, Ralph, of Milo; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Harold and Daniel; grandson, Brandon; brother, John Long; and sister, Karen Lambert.
Friends and family are invited to a gathering of remembrance noon-2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at Milo Town Hall. A graveside funeral service will be held in the spring at Hillside Cemetery, Bradford.
