FLEMING ISLAND, FLA. – Kathleen S. Slipp, 97, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013. She was born May 23, 1915, in Blaine, to parents, Thomas and Jesse Phair.
Mrs. Slipp had worked as an accountant. She was a former member of Mars Hill Full Gospel Assembly, Mars Hill. Mrs. Slipp moved to Fleming Island, Fla., in 2011 from St. Petersburg, Fla., where she was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. She was very active in her church and was on the Prayer Team. In her free time she loved to fish, and she will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; by her husband, Paul J. Slipp; and by her son, Wallace H. Shaw. Survivors include her son, Wendell A. Shaw of Fleming Island, Fla.; sister, Doreen Trombley of California; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Petersburg, Fla.
