DEXTER – Germaine M. Poulin, 92, died Jan. 14, 2013, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born April 12, 1920, in Dexter, the daughter of Philip and Delia (Nolet) Gilbert.
She worked at Dexter Shoe Co. for 16 years, and later for Bass Shoe, Bangor, and Bauer Canadian Skate, Bangor. She was a member of Dexter Public Health Association and Dexter Fish and Game Association.
She is survived by a son, Raymond H. Poulin Jr. of Dexter; three grandsons, Peter Poulin and his wife, Liz, of Texas, David Poulin and his wife, Monica, of Massachusetts, and Michael Poulin and his wife, Sherri, of Dover-Foxcroft; and seven great-grandchildren, Paige, Meaghan, Grace, Remington, Travis, Lillian and Olivia. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond H. Poulin Sr. in 1995; her brothers, Philip, John and Roland; and her sisters, Stella, Floreda, Alida, Louise and Nathlie.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Dexter, with Father Paul Murray officiating. Spring burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Dexter Sunshine Club, care of Nancy Baldwin, 59 Acadia St., Dexter, ME 04930.
