ALNA, Maine — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the report of a burglary overnight Tuesday at the Alna Store on Route 218.

According to Lt. Michael Murphy, the burglary at the store was reported about 5:40 a.m. Wednesday. The window on the front door was broken to get into the store sometime between 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Several items of merchandise were stolen and the estimated value of the damage and stolen property was less than $1,000. Murphy did not describe the items stolen, citing the investigation as a reason.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Terry Michaud at 882-7332.
