NAPLES, Fla. – Helen A. (Hardison) Gresser, 90, formerly of Massillon, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Naples, Fla. She was born Jan. 12, 1923, in West Franklin.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Rosary Altar Confraternity. She was a charter member of Columbian Ladies Guild at the Knights of Columbus and a K of C Bingo volunteer.
She is survived by her son, Raymond F. Gresser Jr. of Hampden; daughters, Judith Ernst of Venice, Fla., Donna Young of Naples, Fla., and Jane Gresser of Massillon, Ohio; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Douglas M. and Lillian (Anderson) Hardison; husband, Raymond Gresser Sr.; and four sisters, Eva, Edna, Ruby and Martha.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Heitger Funeral Home – Massillon Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Gretchko, celebrant. Burial will be afterward at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a remembrance Mass or donate to a charity of your choice.
