WESTBROOK, Maine — Westbrook Police on Monday arrested a Gorham man suspected of sex crimes, police said.
Derek Hanscom, 32, is facing a felony charge of gross sexual assault and three counts of unlawful sexual touching, Westbrook police Capt. Tom Roth said.
The incidents involving Hanscom are alleged to have occurred over the past two weeks, Roth said. He turned himself in at the Westbrook police station Monday morning.
Police are continuing to investigate the incidents, Roth said. Hanscom is being held at the Cumberland County Jail. No further information was immediately available, Roth said.
