TOPSHAM, Maine — Topsham police are still trying to identify a man they believe made off with a pair of boots from Renys.

The theft was reported shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday at the Renys in Topsham Fair Mall.

Topsham Police Chief Christopher Lewis said Detective Mark Lafountain responded to review surveillance video that showed a white male Lewis said decided to swap out the pair of sneakers he was wearing for a new pair of Chippewa boots worth $175.

Police had not yet identified the man Tuesday.
