BREWER – Freida (Carr) White, 86, passed away Feb. 21, 2013, on the anniversary of her marriage to Charles White, at a local nursing home. She was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Old Town, the daughter of Fred and Bessie (Whiting) Carr.
Freida taught us how to live, to serve, to laugh, to forgive, to love unconditionally, and to follow God. She was a blessing beyond compare, richly endowed with a wonderful sense of humor and a servant’s heart. Everyone who came in contact with her was blessed in some way. She leaves a huge void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice Laws of Bangor, Christine Marble and her husband, Bernard, of Holden and Linda Butler and her husband, Joe, of Deltona, Fla.; sister, Dorothy Sinclair; brothers, Frederick Carr and his wife, Lorraine, and Francis Carr and his wife, Anna; sister-in-law, Helen Carr; beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Freida was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Charles White; a sister, Corinne Albert-Florentine; and brothers, Robert Carr and Ralph Carr.
