ROCKLAND, Maine — Rockland police say they have suspects but no arrests in the case of a home that was broken into and two vehicles stolen from its garage.
The investigation began when officers found a vehicle abandoned on the Bog Road on Saturday afternoon shortly before 4 p.m. Police contacted the owner of the Dodge Durango and learned the owner was out of town and that the sports utility vehicle was last seen in his garage at home.
Police went to the West Meadow Road residence and found that the home had been burglarized and that a number of miscellaneous items had been taken. Police also discovered that a second vehicle — a blue Honda sedan — had been stolen. That vehicle was soon located at the Coughlin Park housing development on upper Rankin Street in Rockland.
There are suspects, according to Deputy Rockland Police Chief Wally Tower.
Detective Russell Thompson is investigating the case, he said.
