BANGOR – Pantelis James “Paul” Perdikis, 78, died Feb. 25, 2013, at a hospice in Scarborough. He was born Dec. 13, 1934, in Vamvakou, Sparta, Greece, the son of James P. Perdikis and Pota (Kanatas) Perdikis.
At age 18 he left Greece with his sister, Dina, and immigrated to Ontario, Canada, before arriving in Bangor. He lived many enjoyable years at Country Meadows with the wonderful staff and residents.
He had a brother, Louis, who predeceased him. Pantelis is survived by his sister, Dina Gianibas; nieces, nephew and cousins.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 90 Sanford St., Bangor, with the Rev. Adam Metropoulos, presbyter, presiding. Burial will be afterward at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the memorial fund of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 90 Sanford St., Bangor, ME 04401.
