PRENTISS – Norma Worster, 73, wife of the late Sterling Worster, died March 1, 2013, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born June 1, 1939, in Prentiss, the daughter of Archiebald and Lena (Worster) Worster.
Norma loved fishing and beano. She loved getting together with her family, brothers and sisters. She spent many hours playing cards with her family. She loved country music, especially George Jones. She loved camping with her family and singing songs around the campfire while Del played the guitar. She loved listening to her niece, Brenda, sing at the Country Jamborees in Springfield. She also loved Christmas Eve at Marie and Eldon’s house with all the family.
She is survived by a daughter, Lorna Smart and her husband, Quentin “Jack” Smart II; a granddaughter, Caroline Smart; stepgranddaughters, Jaime Smart and Melissa Smart; great-stepgranddaughter, Mallory Smart; two sisters, Marie Worster and her husband, Eldon, of Prentiss and Katherine Smith and her husband, Ivan, of Lincoln; brothers, Vernon Worster of Prentiss, Guy Worster and Margie of Skowhegan and Wayne Worster and Betty of Lee; a special nephew, Barry Worster; a special niece, Elaine Chassé; and a special cousin, Shirley Worster. In addition to her parents and her husband, Sterling, she was predeceased by siblings, Richard, Clair, Clayton, Beulah, Donald, Lloyd, Bernice, Maland, Merle and Dale; and a special niece, Christine Brown.
Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roy Richardson officiating. Spring interment will be at Butterfield Cemetery, Prentiss. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lincoln United Methodist Church or Prentiss Church of God.
