VAN BUREN – Rodney L. Devost, 57, died March 17, 2013, at a Caribou hospital. He was born March 22, 1955, in Grand Isle, son of Walter and Yvonne (Theriault) Devost.
Rodney was a 1973 graduate of Van Buren High School. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 49, Van Buren. Rodney loved the outdoors, especially fishing, tending to his garden, photography and music. He was a people person with a wonderful sense of humor even through his 30-year battle with multiple sclerosis. If you met him once you remembered him.
He is survived by his mother, Yvonne Devost of Madawaska; two sons, Rodney Devost and wife, Jodi, of Auburn, and Randy Devost of Quebec City; two brothers, Charlie and Reno Devost, both of New Hampshire; and sisters, Arlene Cyr of Fort Kent and Helen Devost of Madawaska. Rodney was predeceased by his father, Walter Devost; and brother, Danny Devost.
Family and friends may greet the family 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Spring interment will be in the family lot at St. Gerard Cemetery, Grand Isle.
