HINGHAM, Mass. – Dina G. Doody-Masone, 58, died March 19, 2013, surrounded by angels and her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dina grew up in Caribou, she always had a special place in her heart for her beloved Allagash. She moved to Massachusetts to attend Eastern Nazarene College and settled in Hingham, Mass., with her beloved husband, Bobby Masone, loving known to her as “The Rock” and she to him as “The Queen.” Dina started her career in the financial service industry at Boston Financial Data Services and completed at Harte Hanks in 2012. Her career provided her with many dear and close friendships. It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of Dina’s passing and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her knew that there was no one like her. Dina sang like a bird, while playing the piano for family, friends and her dear South Weymouth Church of the Nazarene. Dina will be remembered for her particular flare for always looking perfectly put together yet relaxed and ready for fun. Her accessories were her trademark and a little touch of leopard was always her favorite accent. Her meticulous attention to detail was also reflected in her warm and welcoming home. Dina will truly be missed by all those who were blessed to have had her in their lives.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Robert Masone of Hingham, Mass.; and her parents, Dana and Ina (Jackson) Doody of Woodland. She is the loving sister of Dana Doody Jr. and his wife, Ann, Clark Doody, Faith Holmes and her husband, David, and Holly Harrison, all of Maine; aunt of Andrew, Hunter, Langley, Alex, Merigan, Daniel, Nathan and Garrison; great-aunt of Madison and Autumn; daughter-in-law of Vincent Masone of Holbrook; and sister-in-law of Judy Novack and her husband, Rick, of Georgia, Paul Masone and his wife, Joyce, of New Hampshire, Kenny Masone of Weymouth and Rick Masone and his wife, Debbie, of Whitman. Dina is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. To welcome her to heaven with open arms will be her late sister, Beth Doody.
