KENDUSKEAG – Priscilla A. Denning, 68, died peacefully Friday, March 22, 2013, in Bangor. She was born Jan. 28, 1945, in Lambert Lake, daughter of the late Delmar and Myrtle (Grant) Nason.
She attended Lambert Lake schools and married Larry Denning in 1974. Priscilla was employed as a certified nurse’s assistant in the Bangor area for several years. She enjoyed shopping for others and loved to find a bargain. She was a member of Charleston Pentecostal Church and enjoyed attending the women’s fellowship meetings. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family, her church and her Lord. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Denning of Ken-duskeag; children, Ann Burns of Bangor, Arlen Burns and wife, Deirdre, of Corinth and Andrew Denning of Kenduskeag; grandchildren, Ashley Burns, Robert Reid Jr., Cassidy Burns and Bryce Burns; siblings, Beatrice Kane of Lambert Lake, Blanche McKinnon of Brookton, Jessie Grass and husband, Earl, of Lambert Lake, Ernestine Grass and husband, Teddy, of Lambert Lake and Delmar “Bud” Nason and companion, Sandra, of Island Falls; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Helen Fish, Waneta Randall and Charlotte Fish.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Charleston Pentecostal Church, 185 Main Road, Charleston, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, with the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating. A committal service will be held in the spring at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth. Care has been provided by Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, Pittsfield.
