OAKFIELD – Norman Donald Clark, 84, was called home on Easter morning, March 31, 2013. He was born Feb. 8, 1929, in Oakfield, the son of Robert H. and Olive (Porter) Clark.
He retired after 47 years of service on the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad. He was a faithful member, deacon and Sunday school superintendent of Oakfield Baptist Church. He will always be remembered for his “garden.” He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds but most especially his family.
He is survived by his wife, Alma (Howe) Clark; two children, Douglas and wife, Elizabeth Clark, of Island Falls and Deborah and husband, Alston Crandall, of Mapleton; six grandchildren, Jefferson Clark, Eliza Anderson, Tara Smith, Kirby Hardy, Marcy King and Nathan Hardy; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Roberta Stairs; and a very special friend, Jim Kinson.
