ORIENT – Raymond B. Irish died peacefully April 2, 2013, at the Houlton hospital. He was born March 27, 1941, the son of Arnold and Anne Irish of Haynesville.
Raymond worked for Colin Bartlett and Sons for 20 years, and retired from there for three years. He loved fishing, hunting and outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Clarice Irish; two sons and their spouses, Scott and Nam of Fairbanks, Ala., and Ray and Anne of Worster, Mass.; and five stepchildren and their spouses, Mike Shorey, Roberta and Carlos Clark, Ralph and Judy Shorey, Sharon and Gary Dickson, Judy and David Ireland. He will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Alvin and Dana; and two stepchildren, Colby and Melody Shorey.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Haynesville Baptist Church. The family invites family and friends to share conversations and refreshments.
