PALMYRA – Michael E. Tuttle, 53, died unexpectedly April 6, 2013, in Palmyra. Mike was born April 5, 1960, in Dexter, the son of Lewis S. and Regena A. (Gray) Tuttle.
He attended Newport schools and graduated from Nokomis Regional High School in the class of 1977. Mike owned and operated Transport Solutions, a mobile home moving company. He also had owned and operated two different U.S. mail contracts, one in the Belfast, Waldo County area and one in Aroostook County. Mike will be remembered as a kind, gentle and caring soul. For his sense of humor, jokes, stories, his love of music and his famous pet pig, “Jiggety”. Mike loved animals of all kinds, especially his pets, Brody, Sunny and Mufasa.
Mike is survived by his parents, Lewis and Regena Tuttle of Newport; the love of his life, Marie McNichol and her daughter, Monique McNichol, whom he loved like his own daughter; brother and wife, Dan and Michelle Tuttle of Detroit and children, Bryce, Addie, Cameron and partner, Miranda; great-niece, MacKenzie; sister, Connie Lasselle and partner, Lonny Martin, of Plymouth and children, Ryan and partner, Deltena, Matt and wife, Erin and Caleb and friend, Lexi; great-nieces and great-nephews, Abram, Marina and Damon; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Sheila Tuttle.
There will be a celebration of Mike’s life 2 p.m. Saturday April 13, at Millennium, 416 Oxbow Road, Route 100, Palmyra. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to be made to the animal rescue, Mountain’s, 225 Dexter Road, Corinna, ME 04928.
