ST. AGATHA – Valier P. Chamberland, 89 died peacefully April 2, 2013, in Frenchville, surrounded by his family. He was born March 20, 1924, in St. Agatha, the son of Patrick and Alice (Corno) Chamberland.
He was a member of 3rd degree Knights of Columbus. Valier loved gardening and being out side, loved to joke with people and being with his family and friends. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife Aline (Dumont) of 66 years; daughter, Pauline and husband, Raynold Thibeault, of St. Agatha; two grandchildren, Brenda and husband, Ken Gendreau, of Madawaska, and April and husband, Peter Rouleau, of Illinois; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas Sirois, Jacob Gendreau and Paige and Shane Rouleau; three sisters, Fern Chamberland of St. Agatha, Theresa Martin of Madawaska, and Ester and husband, Edwin Guerrette, of East Hartford, Conn. He was predeceased by brother, Maurice Chamberland; and two sisters, Lucille Michaud and Jeannine Michaud.
Their will be no calling hours. Friends and relatives may give their condolences to the family 9 a.m. until time of services 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, at St. Agatha Catholic Church. For those who desire, donations may be contributed in his memory to Hospice of Aroostook, 14 Access Highway, Caribou, ME 07436 and to St. Joseph Nursing Home, Frenchville, ME. Burial will be at St. Agatha Lower Cemetery in the spring.
