BANGOR, Maine — A local man who was upset with himself for no apparent reason wound up in jail early Friday after reportedly ignoring a police officer’s warning to stop yelling.

Eric Shoro, 29, was playing loud music and yelling at himself when police arrived at his Sunset Avenue residence shortly after midnight, Bangor police Sgt. Steve Buckley said.

Shoro continued to yell after officers arrived, and they subsequently gave him a disorderly conduct warning, the sergeant said.

Shoro did not heed officers’ warnings and was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct, Buckley said. Shoro was the only person in the residence.

Shoro was brought to Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Friday morning.
