FORT FAIRFIELD – Evelyn E. Flannery, 70, wife of the late Philip O. Flannery, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 3, 2013, at her residence. She was born July 27, 1942, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Alfred and Mary (Crock) Boulier.
She attended Fort Fairfield schools and was married to Philip O. Flannery July 26, 1975. Evelyn had been employed by several area farmers as well as Birdseye Foods and Community General Hospital, Fort Fairfield. She greatly enjoyed card playing and dining out. She also liked to sing and watch horror films.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Philip, Oct. 7, 2011; two brothers, Fred and Amos Boulier; three sisters, Roseanna Theriault, Julia Dean and Mary Mazerolle; and stepdaughter, Lorna Butler. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gilbert F. and Donna Wilkins of Somersworth, N.H.; daughter and son-in-law, Eva and Kendall Churchill of Limestone; stepdaughter, Kathy Barnes and husband, Bruce, of Fort Fairfield; two brothers, David Boulier of Tennessee and Edward Boulier and wife, Karen, of Savannah, Ga.; sister, Rita Bubar of Michigan; three grandchildren, Nathan and Kyle Wilkins of Somersworth, N.H., and Amanda Churchill of Banner Elk, N.C.; numerous stepgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind dear friends, Martina and Linda DeMerchant both of Fort Fairfield.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at the funeral home with Pastor Ronnie Doughty officiating. Interment will be private. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the service at Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
