HERMON – Philip R. Chase, 75, passed away peacefully May 4, 2013 after a long illness. Philip was born March 1, 1938, in Hampden, the son of Linwood and Maxine (Sadler) Chase.
Phil attended Augusta schools and was a member of Cony High School, class of 1956. He was employed for several years at ELCO in Waterville and Bangor Beef in Bangor, and most recently was a self-employed cattle dealer in the Bangor area. Phil will be remembered as a loving father, companion, grandfather, brother and friend.
Phil is survived by his special friend, Carol Marley; his children, Scott Chase and companion, Sherry Hardy, of Kenduskeag, and Dorrie Chase and companion, Dan, of Venice, Fla.; a grandson, Stephen Chase of Ellsworth; Carol’s children, Chris and Bruce Marley; brothers, Stanley Chase and wife, Elaine, of Vassalboro, Gerald Chase and wife, Ann, of Farmingdale, and Donald Chase and wife, Annabel, of Spain; five sisters, Anita Chase-Atherton and husband, John, of Warsaw, Mo., Lorna Ulmer and husband, Walter, of Randolph, Alta Chase and husband, Jim Brown, of Stratford, N.H., Judith Conn and husband, Clyde, of Centerville, Ohio, and Kathleen Chase of Topsham; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
A private graveside service for family will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden. Memorial contributions in Phil’s honor may be made to Philip R. Chase Leukemia Fund, care of EMHS Foundation, P.O.
