EAST VASSALBORO, Maine — U.S. Postal Service officials are investigating alleged mail thefts in the town of East Vassalboro.

London Warren, the Public Information Officer for the USPS’s Office of the Inspector General, said an investigation was launched sometime in April but did not disclose an exact date.

“We do have an investigation ongoing in East Vassalboro,” Warren said Tuesday morning. She did not release further details on the case, citing an open investigation.

Warren noted that residents should not worry about their mail.

“We’re looking into everything,” Warren said.
