OLD TOWN – Priscilla Marie (Ouellette) Bouchard, 91, died peacefully with her family by her side May 20, 2013, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 18, 1921, in St. Agatha, to Elzear and Laura Ouellette.
Priscilla was raised in Orono and spent her married life with husband, Clarence “Blondie” Bouchard, living in Old Town. Priscilla enjoyed music, dancing and reading. She also liked to make the quilts that each family member will treasure along with the memories of “Grammy’s” famous Sunday chicken dinners and chicken soup supper. Many very special summers were spent at the Bouchard camp on Pushaw Lake with family and friends.
She is survived by children, Joyce Magnan and husband, Gilbert, Doreen McLaughlin and Ron Bouchard and companion, Irene Cobb; grandchildren, Deborah Street and husband, Art, Scott Magnan and wife, Tracy, Barbara Morley and husband, Chris, Kelly Harris and companion, Mike Walker, Heidi McLaughlin and companion, Daniel Engstrom, Alan McLaughlin and companion, Heather Richards, and Nick Bouchard; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Jessie, Rachel, Jack, Alisha, Dustin, Drew, Isabel, Kaycie and Angela; great-great-grandson, Landon; sisters, Lucille Breau, Dolores Ouellette and Rose Dube; brother, Ed “Junior” Ouellette; and many nieces and nephews. Priscilla was predeceased by her husband, Clarence in 2006; parents, Elzear and Laura; brothers, Roland, Ferdinand and Joseph; and sister, Theresa. A special thank you goes to her “family” of caregivers at Westgate Manor for their loving care and kindness. Thank you also to the Grant six and Palliative Care staff at Eastern Maine Medical Center for their compassion and understanding. Priscilla was a loving, caring, tender yet strong woman who will be sadly missed by all. “Que Sera, Sera.”
Graveside services for Priscilla and Clarence will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Old Town. Gifts in her memory may be made to Westgate Manor Activities Fund, 750 Union St., Bangor, ME 04401.
