MADAWASKA – Hermance G. Martin, 80, passed away unexpectedly May 22, 2013, at her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1932, in St. Jacques, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Prudent and Euphemie (Francoeur) Bosse.
Hermance was known to be a “social butterfly,” and enjoyed spending time with her many family and friends, especially playing cards. Being the jolly person that she was, Hermance had quite a sense of humor and enjoyed joking around. She loved to dance with her beloved husband, Raoul. She was a lifetime member of Daughters of Isabella, Madawaska.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda Slaney and husband, Michael, of Fairfield, Diane Cyr and husband, David, of St. David, Susan Paradis and husband, Michel, of Biddeford, and Tammy Casey and husband, Greg, of Biddeford; eight grandchildren, Christopher and Joshua Slaney, Kristine and husband, Jeremiah Delisle, Craig Cyr, Erin and Curtis Paradis, and Dustin and Dalton Casey; great-granddaughter, Zoe; sister, Estelle Nadeau of Edmundston, New Brunswick; brother, Paul Emile Bosse of Riviere Du Loup, New Brunswick; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raoul Martin; four sisters, Annette, Yolande, Aurore and Marie; and three brothers, Armand, Gilles and Camille.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where family and friends may offer their condolences 9 a.m. until time of the service.
