HOLDEN – Jeffrey A. Landwehr, 2/8/1962-5/20/2013, age 51.
Jeffrey Landwehr was many things in the lifetime that we shared with him. He served in the U.S. Army and attended college to obtain his bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, the field in which he dedicated his career. His hobbies were many; the Patriots were his favorite team and he never let them score without a round of high fives from those around him. He loved to play golf in his spare time and was an avid gardener that enjoyed pickling and fiddle heading in the spring, as well as snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter. Some of his favorite memories were at camp, ice fishing with his best friend who passed before him, Larry Berthiaume. Family members would describe him as compassionate, faithful to family every step of the way, devoted husband and father, and the family historian. He always kept in touch with family members from Germany and learned as much as he could about their heritage. Jeff was always the life of the party and lit up a room with his wide smile and booming laughter.
Jeff was predeceased by his father, Josef Landwehr and survived by his mother, Joan Arau Landwehr. He loved dearly his wife, Cindy Deans Landwehr; son, Brooks Deans and daughter-in-law, Janice. He was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren; as well as uncle to eight nephews and a niece. Jeff is survived by several siblings, brother, Peter Landwehr and wife, Julie; brother, Paul Landwehr and wife, Debbie; sister, Monica Cleveland and husband, Matthew; sister, Nina Hutchins and husband, Darryl; and brother-in-law, Tim Deans. Jeff had a very large and loving family as well as extended family of friends and co-workers.
A memorial service will be held for Jeff 11 a.m. June 2, at Landwehr Farm, 2406 Appleton Ridge Road, Appleton.
