Roberta Mary Coyne Deane

CORINTH AND WINTERPORT – Roberta Mary Coyne Deane, 82, passed away peacefully May 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor nursing facility. Roberta was born Aug. 29, 1930, in Bangor, to James Coyne and Phyllis (Chapman) Coyne Smith.
Roberta or Bobbie as most knew her, spent many years in Hampden and Winterport before moving to Corinth where she and Larry lived for 19 years. In later years, they moved back to Winterport to be near her family. She was an avid snowmobiler and a founding member of Hampden Snowmobile Club as well as Corinth Snowmobile Club. Bobbie enjoyed shopping, picking strawberries and riding on the motorcycle with Larry, but her top priority was her grandchildren. She loved hosting each grandchild at her home for the weekend, always spoiling them. Bobbie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Bobbie is survived by her loving husband, Larry Deane of Winterport; children, Stephen Deane and wife, Laura, Gordon Deane and wife, Mary Lou, and Deborah Deane; grandchildren, Christy Deane, Shane Deane, Kati Deane-Grant and husband, Jake, Ryan Deane and wife, Elizabeth, Mandie Smith and husband, Jesse, Yvette Hart and husband, Mike, Kristine Tardiff, and Danielle Young and husband, Eric; great-grandchildren, Britni, Owen and Jackson Grant, Madison and Lily Smith, Brock and Trent Deane, and Fletcher Young; brother, Darrell Coyne; several nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Terrence Coyne; and two sisters, Rita Coyne Aiken and Paula Bracy.
Family and friends are invited to visit 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A graveside service celebrating Bobbie’s life will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, at Locust Grove Cemetery, Main Road South, Hampden, with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Reeves officiating.
