HOULTON – Wilson Harding “Lum” Campbell, 89, died May 25, 2013, in Houlton. He was born Oct. 27, 1923, in Island Falls, son of Leo and Bertha (Moran) Campbell.
At an early age, he went to work in the woods with his father and brothers, he so loved the out-of-doors and all of nature. Lum loved working with workhorses and especially a big Belgium named Bud. He loved to pick raspberries, strawberries and fiddleheads. He had a great sense of humor.
He leaves behind niece, Donna King and husband, Jack; sisters-in-law, Margaret of Houlton and Vee of Palmyra, Va.; special friend, Brenda Kincade; all his friends at Ricker Plaza; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins, too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his parents; six brothers, Frederick, Frank, Jack, Mickey, Reg and Bill; three sisters, Bea, Essie and Tiny; and sister-in-law, Kay. A special thanks to Eastern Maine Medical Center, Houlton Regional Hospital Progressive Care staff, Dr. Sussman and Dr. Abouleish.
