TROY – Donna Faye Pfeiffer, 65, much loved wife, mother, sister and friend, died unexpectedly May 22, 2013, at her home. She was reunited with her waiting family and heavenly father. She was born Dec. 15, 1947, in Passaic, N.J., second daughter of Donald and Evelyn (Miller) Pearce.
Donna Faye was predeceased by her parents, mother-in-law, father-in-law, aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband of 44 blessed years, Gene D. Pfeiffer of Troy; son, Scott M. Pfeiffer of Troy; daughter, Amy J. Pfeiffer of Orrington; sister, Betty and husband, Stan Topolenski, of Fort Myers, Fla.; and several other relations around the country, all of whom are going to miss having such a great lady in their lives. She was truly thoughtful and helpful to everyone she met and now she is our guardian angel.
A member of United Metho-dist Church and choir, United Methodist Women, and Eastern Star, she was never overbearing about her religion. Donna Faye had been a hairdresser, home health aide for more than 20 years, manager of Good Stewart Thrift Shop and was membership secretary of Unity Area Rotary Club. Having grown up with a square dance hall owned by relatives, she loved music, especially traditional country, gospel and bluegrass. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and hanging out with her rug “hooker” friends. Purple and green, family, silver and gold, butterflies, birds, plants and flowers, all made her smile.
Per her wishes she will be cremated. A celebration of her life and memorial service will be held June 7 at Unity Union United Methodist Church, Unity. Please do not send flowers, as she wanted to receive all flowers before her death and not after. Donations may be made to Unity Union United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 146, Unity, ME 04988; or Rotary International, 1560 Sherman Ave., Evanston, IL 60201-3698.
