SACO, Maine — Five people were charged early Sunday after Saco police reported going to a loud party at which underage drinking was occurring.

Saco police Officers Kyle Moody and Monica Fahy had been dispatched to a Water Street residence after a noise complaint came in shortly after midnight, according to Deputy Chief Jeffrey Holland.

When the officers arrived, they could hear people on a back balcony laughing and talking, according to Holland.

After making contact with a renter, the officers reportedly discovered a party with underage drinking. Holland said bottles of wine and cans of strawberry margaritas were found.

The renters, Endy Garcia, 24, and Tamika Sylvestere, 18, both were charged with allowing minors to consume alcohol. Three others, Sarah Duke, 19, and Tanika Roy, 20, both of Biddeford, and a 17-year-old were charged with being a minor in possesssion of liquor, Holland said.
