BANGOR, Maine — The Downtown Outdoor Market and Cool Sounds Concert Series is set to kick off Thursday, and it will also bring several road closures.

The concert series will be held at Pickering Square from 6 to 7:30 p.m. while vendors will sell food, clothing, jewelry and other products beginning at 5 p.m. The series runs every Thursday through August 1.

Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Broad Street at the intersection of Main Street will be closed to traffic at 3 p.m. Thursdays, and Merchants Plaza will be closed to traffic at the same time.

The roads will reopen to traffic at 8 p.m.
