LITTLETON – Avis C. Hanning, 87, went home to be with her Lord June 11, 2013, in Houlton. She was born Nov. 30, 1925, in Bangor, daughter of Clarence and Vera (Norris) Betham.
Avis was a graduate of Bangor High School in 1943.
She is survived by two sisters, Bunny Nanni of Barhamsted, Conn., and Donna Burdick of New Hartford, Conn.; brother, Owen Betham of Torrington, Conn.; several nieces and nephews; and her close friends, Bruce and Colleen Anderson. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Laurence; two sisters, Charlotte Robinson and Clarice Babcock; and two brothers, Leland and Eugene.
