MACHIAS — Nearly 1,200 have lost power in the Machias area, according to Bangor Hydro.
The utility company says the outage was caused by weather conditions and is working to reconnect power to customers in Machias and East Machias. They expect to have most customers reconnected by 10:30 a.m.
The company urges customers to avoid coming in contact with fallen power lines or any trees near them.
