Across the room sits an empty chair. It’s been awhile since you sat there. The closet is filled with what you wore, and all of your hats behind the bedroom door. Your memory still remains, yet nothing feels the same. I awake every morning expecting you there, only disappointment with the empty bed we use to share. Today was the day you were born, we’ll share memories, laugh, cry and mourn.
