MILFORD – Frank Wellington Pottle Jr., 81, died peacefully June 18, 2013, at a Bangor hospital with his wife by his side. He was born June 2, 1932, in Port Chester, N.Y., son of Frank W. Sr and Yvonne B. (LaJeunesse) Pottle.
He grew up in Bangor and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. In his younger years he enjoyed bowling, playing pool, fishing and hunting and time spent with family was his greatest pleasure.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 42 years, Marie (Newlin) Pottle; two sons, Daniel of Virginia, and Frank III of New Jersey; stepson, Ron of Millinocket; daughter, Donna of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Charlie of Pennsylvania; and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Yvonne; sister-in-law, Eleanor; and niece, Linda. The family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses and staff at St. Joseph Hospital and Ross Manor for the compassionate care, respect, and love shown to Frank.
