LEBANON, Maine — Four people were injured Sunday morning when two vehicles collided on Route 11, according to officials.
A Chrysler Sebring heading west on the highway at 10:30 a.m. was struck by a 2013 Kia sedan traveling on Little River Road and going straight across the highway to Depot Road. The Kia did not stop for a red light, according to Lebanon Rescue Assistant Chief Jason Cole.
The Sebring’s driver, a 57-year-old New Hampshire man, and a 62-year-old female passenger, were treated at the scene and released, according to Cole.
A passenger in the Kia, a 20-year-old New Jersey woman, suffered injuries that were serious but not life-threatening after being ejected from the vehicle, Cole said. She was taken to Goodall Hospital in Sanford. The driver, a 21-year-old Lebanon woman, was not seriously injured.
The names of the occupants were not released, Cole said.
Traffic was detoured around the scene until 11:30 a.m., Cole said. Both vehicles were demolished in the crash, which state police is investigating.
