BANGOR — Bangor’s Justin Courtney allowed only three hits and struck out 13 en route to a 3-1 American Legion baseball victory over Motor City Friday night at Mansfield Stadium.
Sam Stanhope backed Courtney with an RBI single and Kyle Stevenson added a sacrifice fly. Trevor DeLaite chipped in with a double and single, Andrew Hiller singled twice and Courtney doubled.
Evan Pelkey blasted an RBI triple for Motor City while Tommy Burns and Gabe Melmed each added a single.
