CHESTER – Eugene King Voisine, 69, died July 8, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born July 1, 1944, in Eagle Lake, son of Maxime “Tom” and Lorraine (Saucier) Voisine.
Eugene worked in the logging business, starting at the early age of 14. He was very successful and established and operated his own business for many years. He was a hard-working and successful husband, a wonderful and caring father and a giving and loving grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Aloma (Tash) Voisine of Chester; two daughters, Tina Batchelder and husband, Rusty, of Enfield and Tanya Niles and husband, Brent, of Chester; two sons, Troy Voisine and wife, Lori, and Travis Voisine and wife, Casie, all of Chester; five brothers, Roy Voisine Sr. and wife, Norma, Richard Voisine, Dickie Voisine and wife, Marion, all of Chester, Melvin Voisine and wife, Dawna, of Lincoln and Tommy Voisine of Chester; three sisters, Judy Langerak and husband, John, of Chester, Lucy Trott and husband, Roger Sr., of Lincoln and Anna Welch and husband, Frank, of Chester; ten grandchildren, Anthony, Eric, Dakota, Patrick, Eugene, Kelly, Max, Matthew, Dylan and Kimberlee; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three children, James, Valerie and Kelly; brother, Jimmy; sister, Joyce Violette; nephew, Dickie Voisine Jr.; and niece, Angela Langerak.
Friends may call 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral service 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, with Bill Chesley officiating.
