A male wearing a black ski mask entered the restaurant, displayed a knife and demanded money, Wintle said. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
The man fled on foot and was last seen traveling south toward Route 7 on Spring Street, he said.
Witnesses described the man as being 6 feet tall, between 150 and 180 pounds wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jacket.
Dexter police were assisted by a Maine State Police K-9 unit and the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
The case is still under investigation, Wintle said.
