BANGOR – Roland Dwayne Curtis Sr., 45, died July 20, 2013, with his family by his side, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 27, 1967, in Bangor, son of Grover C. and Marie (Ward) Curtis.
He owned and operated Roland Curtis Nursery and Landscaping. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by sister, Nettie; and his mother. Surviving is five sons, Roland Jr., Jeremy, Jonathan, Jordan and Jacob; five grandchildren; four brothers, Grover III, Mike, Rodney and Darrell; and three sisters, Darlene, Sharon and Sheila.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where relatives and friends are invited to visit 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
