GARDINER, Maine — A vehicle caught fire in the northbound lanes of the Interstate 95 on Wednesday, according to the Maine Turnpike Authority.

The blaze backed up traffic in the northbound lanes near mile marker 104, according to the MTA.

Traffic was reduced to one lane, according to MTA officials, but they announced shortly after 3 p.m. that the scene was cleared and both lanes were open again.

No other information was available Wednesday.
