LINCOLN – Richard “Dick” Spaulding, 73, husband of Cathy Spaulding, passed away Aug. 9, 2013, at a Lincoln hospital after a 13 year battle with prostate cancer.
Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to yard sales, and spending time at camp with family and friends.
He is survived by Cathy, his wife and best friend of 32 years. Dick is also survived by five children, Richard Spaulding and Carole of Massachusetts, Mark Spaulding and Gina of Lincoln, Cheryl Spaulding of New Hampshire, Larry Anderson and Tracey of Lincoln, and Lorrie Springer and Brent of Glenburn; and 12 grandchildren, Michael, Peter, Elizabeth, Renata, Kyle, Sara, Mark, Cameron, Caitlyn, Christopher, Brooke and Megan. In addition to his family, Dick leaves behind a special friend and fishing buddy, Don Coons of Lincoln.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, at Mattawamkeag Cemetery with the Rev. William Chesley officiating.
