BROOKLIN – Dorothy L. Boisvert, 86, passed away Aug. 19, 2013 with her family by her side after a lengthy illness. She was born in Georgiaville, R.I., Nov. 30, 1926, a daughter of Frank and Augusts (Wilbur) DeGarden.
Dorothy grew up in Georgiaville and graduated high school from St. Xaviers Academy in Providence, R.I., in 1944. She married Roland Boisvert, Dec.16, 1945. He passed away Aug. 22, 2006. Dorothy was a homemaker and raised four children. She was an avid reader, loved to go to the movies, enjoyed sewing, playing Solitaire, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Georgiaville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, secretary of the Ostomy Society in Providence, and was a former member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Marsha Eaton and husband, George, of Brooklin, Susan Boisvert of Jacksonville, Fla., Bradley Boisvert and wife, Debra, of Albany, N.H.; grandchildren, Derek DiChiaro, Bradley Boisvert, Jr., Cherie Cancilliere, and Lea Agnor; great-grandchildren, Emily, Abby, and Alexander; brother, Robert. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Roland; son, Bruce; brothers, Francis and Richard; sister, Eva.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Brooklin Cemetery.
