FORT KENT – Yvon Couture, 67, died Aug. 19, 2013, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born May 16, 1946, in Lambton, QB, Canada, the son of Joseph and Emilia (Busque) Couture.
Yvon had a great passion for hunting and loved the log home he built which was his dream that he enjoyed for the last nine years of his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Martha (Harvey) Couture of Fort Kent; one daughter, Jessica and husband, Daniel Cox, of Bristol, Conn.; one son, Jodi and wife, Paige Couture, of Easton, Conn; three special grandchildren, Danielle, Jesse and Elizabeth; his two special dogs, Ozzie and Jr.; four sisters, Pierette Couture of Lac Meqantic, Quebec, Nicole and husband, Marius Begin, of Ste Foie, Quebec, Diane and husband, Andre LaRiche, of Lac Magantic, Quebec and Gaetane Couture of Ste George, Quebec; and one brother, Richard and wife, Diane Couture, of La burantage, Quebec. He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends may call 10 a.m. Tuesday, until time of service at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal Services with full military honors will follow in the Caribou Veterans Cemetery.
